A large dog needs room to stretch out and a fill that stays supportive under their weight. Every J'adore bed comes in sizes for big dogs, and the Rectangle and Square go further with high-density foam, our firmest fill, and custom sizes up to 80 inches wide.
Each bed is handmade to order in our Kansas City workroom, in 300+ fabrics with free name embroidery and a removable, washable cover.

Choosing a Fill for a Big Dog
High-Density Foam
Our firmest, longest-lasting support, with batting on the top and bottom. The 5" foam is made for giant breeds and dogs that like a firm bed.
On: Rectangle and Square (4" or 5"); always in the Throne's sides
Memory Foam
4" thick, 4 lb density memory foam that spreads your dog's weight evenly. A popular choice for senior dogs.
On: Rectangle, Square, Round, Cave, and the seat of the Cuddle, Cozy Cuddle, Edgy and Throne
Premium Fiberfill
A plush clusterfill stuffed on the firmer side. Unzip the insert and take some out if your dog likes it softer.
On: Every bed
How to Size a Large Dog
- Measure stretched out. With your dog lying on their side, measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail.
- Add room. Add 8 to 12 inches for a cushion bed, or 5 to 8 inches for a bolster bed, whose bolsters take up part of the outside size.
- Check the weight. Each size on the chart lists the weight it is made for; between two sizes, choose the larger.
- Go custom if you need to. A custom Rectangle or Square is made to the half inch, up to 80 inches wide.

Large Dog Bed FAQs
Measure your dog lying stretched out, nose to the base of the tail, then add 8 to 12 inches for a cushion bed or 5 to 8 inches for a bolster bed. Each bed's size chart also gives the weight each size is made for.
The largest standard sizes are the Rectangle X-Large and the Pillow XX-Large, both 52 by 36 inches, and the Throne XX-Large at 50 by 36 inches for dogs over 80 pounds. Custom sizes go up to 80 inches wide; the table on this page shows how far each bed goes.
High-density foam gives the firmest, longest-lasting support and is made for large and giant breeds. Memory foam spreads your dog's weight evenly, and premium fiberfill is plush and adjustable for dogs who like to sink in.
The Rectangle and Square beds offer 4 inch and 5 inch high-density foam; the 5 inch is our firmest. The Throne bed's sides are always made with high-density foam, whichever seat you choose.
Our high-density foam has a typical life of 12+ years and our memory foam 10+ years. Both are CertiPUR-US certified, and every J'adore product includes a 1-year limited warranty that covers any defect in craftsmanship.
Yes. Measure each dog stretched out and size a custom Rectangle so both have room. Sizes over 53 inches wide may need a seam, since most fabrics are 54 inches wide.
Yes. Every bed has a removable, washable cover. We recommend Woolite on the delicate cycle with cold water, then air drying; hot water or the dryer can shrink or fade the fabric.
A cushion bed gives a big dog the most room to stretch out, while a bolster bed suits dogs who like to lean or rest their head on an edge. Bolsters take up part of the outside size, so check the inside seat on the size chart.
